I gave this company 5 Stars because of their customer service. The product is made very well and looks fantastic once it’s assembled. That being said even if you have experience in building small projects and have some construction skills, assembling these pergolas requires a minimum of two people and both MUST be comfortable on ladders. Full disclosure, I purchased and built two pergolas, 20x12 and 10x12 that share a common post. While this is probably unusual for most people building a pergola, I am not a novice and believe me it was a challenge. The process of assembling is very simple, a little drilling and screwing and possibly some cutting is all that is necessary but doing it on ladders 12 feet in the air takes that to a hole new level. DON’T do this by yourself and know what you are doing otherwise hire someone. Also know everything about what you are ordering because not everything is completely clear on the website. Read the entire page of their website or you will be calling them with questions. Also ask for extra pieces and screws in case you make a mistake .
I do highly recommend these pergola systems.
